Its been quite sometime since I’ve been actively participating to the events ( some of it if schedule permits) of a group of Filipino photographers and hobbyist in Toronto known only as SIPAT ( a tagalog term for “act of sighting or aiming” ) that I’ve come to realize that this small group of hobbyist has now started to grow in numbers. It is thru this group that helped me mold my skills in my continuing knowledge in photography and gained new friends outside my home.

Last saturday, when we again met-up to do a photowalk in Edwards Garden in toronto, I was surprised to see a new batch of eager learners, kinda like seeing myself when I used to be in their shoes.

One thing I like about this group is that majority of the members unselfishly share their own knowledge from the art of photography, constantly pushing its members to let go of their hidden skills thus each time a meetup is formed the results of the day would be visible from the pictures that will be shared in the forum.

As for myself, since most of my craft and skills were molded thru the shared knowledge I’ve acquired from the group, it is only fitting that I return the favor and will continually pass on the experience I have received from my mentors in the group….. keep the passion burning…. keep on shooting!!!
